In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“the Act”) and its regulations, this notice is issued to all the users of this Malaysia Autoshow Apps (“MASA”). This Notice will inform you of your rights with regards to your personal data that has been and/or will be, collected and processed by us.


B. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We have collected and will collect your personal data to be processed by us and / or on your behalf in the course of your present or future dealings with the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 organisers (“we”, “our”, “us” or “Organisers”). Your personal data enables us to achieve the “Purpose” herein that is in connection with our business.

  • a) Full Name (as per IC/Passport);
  • b) IC/Passport Number;
  • c) Gender;
  • d) Email address;
  • e) Mobile phone number; and
  • f) Any personally identifiable information (PII) defined by international privacy laws or standards

D. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We will use your personal data for the following purposes including but not limited to:

  • a) Participant Identification: Personal data such as name, email address, or phone number may be collected to identify participants for the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 Lucky Draw (“the Draw”) and contact winners.
  • b) Legal Compliance: Collecting certain personal data may be necessary to comply with legal requirements related to giveaways, such as verifying the eligibility of the participants.
  • c) Improving User Experience: Data collected from the Draw entries can provide insights into user demographics, preferences, and engagement levels. This information can be used to tailor future promotions and enhance the overall user experience of this app.

F. SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

We use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access wherever possible. Personal data provided to us via MASA are protected during transit using encryption such as Transport Layer Security (TLS). When personal data is stored by us, we use computer systems with limited access in facilities using physical security measures. Data stored in cloud services is encrypted form including when we utilize third-party storage. The level of security of personal data which kept in a non-electronic environment are also treated with strict procedures and means.


G. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

We are very serious about providing a comparable level of protection for personal data should the information be processed or used outside Malaysia by our vendors or experts when applicable.


H. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. We advise that you check MASA for this Privacy Policy on a regular basis.


I. DATA RETENTION PERIOD

Your personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated in this Notice, with any data required for legal, tax, or audit compliance potentially being retained beyond the event closure. After the retention period, your data will be safely deleted or anonymized.
